What does the love line represent?
The love line is a sequence of three positions used for symbolic reflection on closeness, needs and relationship habits. It describes discussion themes rather than identifying a soulmate or predicting a relationship’s outcome.
Start with your matrix, then locate the line near the lower-right part of the chart. Read the position first and the Arcana second.
The formula used here
R means summing digits while a number is greater than 22. Let D be the bottom vertex, C the right vertex and E the center:
- M = R(D + E), the start of the love line.
- L = R(C + E), the start of the money line.
- Hub H = R(M + L), shared by the two lines.
- The love line is M → R(H + M) → H.
The start M also begins the karmic tail, but the rest of the two sequences differs. Keep the full karmic tail separate from the love line.
Worked example: 15 April 1990
With D = 11, C = 19 and E = 13, M = 6 and L = 5. The hub is 11, and the love line is 6 → 17 → 11. In the Arcana guide, these are The Lovers, The Star and Strength.
As a discussion prompt, this could connect mutual choice, hopes that stay grounded, and steady care. It does not establish what either person feels.
Questions for each position
| Position | Question to explore |
|---|---|
| Start | How do I express a need or invite closeness? |
| Middle | What habits help me keep a relationship healthy? |
| Shared hub | How do affection, practical commitments and resources meet? |
Look at constructive themes and shadow patterns without labelling yourself or a partner. Replace “you are this number” with an observation and a specific request.
Comparing two people
Couple compatibility compares corresponding positions and offers shared themes, possible friction and conversation prompts. It does not produce a scientifically validated compatibility score or a verdict about staying together.
