What is the money line?
The money line is a symbolic sequence for reflecting on work, resources and ideas about value. It cannot forecast income, identify winning investments or guarantee wealth. Financial decisions require real information about your circumstances.

The formula used in this calculator
R means summing digits until a value is at most 22. Let C be the right vertex, D the bottom vertex and E the center:
- L = R(C + E), the start of the material channel.
- M = R(D + E), the start of the love line and karmic tail.
- Hub H = R(L + M), shared with the love line.
- The money line is L → R(H + L) → H.
Read in this order. The shared hub is a connection between two symbolic themes, not a claim that money determines love.
Worked example: 15 April 1990
C = 19, D = 11 and E = 13. L = R(32) = 5; M = R(24) = 6; H = 11. The money line is 5 → 16 → 11: The Hierophant, The Tower and Strength in this site’s numbering.
A reflective interpretation might ask about learned rules around work, adapting when a plan changes, and maintaining steady boundaries. The Tower does not predict financial loss, and Strength does not promise financial success.
Make the reading practical
- Write down one belief about earning or spending that you learned from others.
- Compare that belief with your actual budget, commitments and goals.
- Choose one small, measurable action: review a recurring expense, clarify a work agreement, or set a realistic learning goal.
- Revisit the action later and evaluate what actually happened.
Constructive and shadow themes
Read both sides of each Arcana. A useful theme can become unhelpful when taken too far: structure can become rigidity, ambition can become overwork, and generosity can blur boundaries. Treat these as questions rather than diagnoses.
